A few basic rules apply to sensitive skin care. But it is important to understand what a sensitive skin is even before we examine the regulations for sensitive skin care. Sensitive skin is one that can not tolerate any unfavorable (environmental / other) conditions and that is easily irritated when it comes to contact with foreign materials (including skin care products. Therefore, certain products are labeled as sensitive skin care products in particular. However, the degree of sensitivity may vary from individual to individual (and the sensitive procedures in the skin vary as well).
In general, detergents and other chemical products are affected by all skin types. The damage generally begins however over a defined threshold (or level of tolerance). For sensitive skin types this tolerance level is very low, which makes skin damage easy and quick. Either prevent or maintain a potential irritant at very low concentrations of sensitive skin care products.
Here are some tips for sensitive skin care.
*Use only sensitive skin care products (i.e. products which are marked for sensitive skin care only).
*Check also the product instructions / notes to see if the product has specific limitations / warnings). Choose one which has minimum preservatives, colors and other additives.
*Do not use toners even within the range of sensitive skin treatments. Most are based on alcohol and for sensitive skin not recommended.
*Wear protective gloves for washing or other chemical cleaning purposes. You can wear cotton gloves underneath the rubber if you are allergic to rubber.
*The aim is to prevent excessive sun exposure as an important tip for ‘sensitive skin care.’ Before going out in the sun apply the sunscreen lotion.
*For sensitive skin care it is also important to avoid exposure to dust and other pollutants. Before leaving, cover yourself adequately.
*Availability of a non-comedogenic hypoallergenic moisturizer as a sensitive skin care product (when no one is specifically labeled as a sensitive skin care product) Removing from spending time outdoors, cleanse your face. Do not scrub or scrub too much. It can cause redness and even swelling.
*Do not leave too long with the make-up. Use hypoallergenic removers of makeup.
Therefore, sensitive skin care differs greatly from regular skin care. Sensitive skin care is about your skin care (both with regard to sensitive skin care products and protection from the atrocities of skin environments).
